Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (01-08-2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Note: Age relaxation as per government norms.
Educational Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in English or Hindi with the other language as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of instruction at the degree level.
OR - Master’s degree in any subject with English/Hindi as medium and the other language as compulsory/elective at the degree level.
AND - Diploma/Certificate in translation (Hindi-English & vice versa) OR 2 years’ translation experience (3 years’ experience for SHT/ST posts) in Central or State Government Office, including Government of India Undertaking.

Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) & Senior Hindi Translator (SHT) Recruitment 2025 consists of the following stages:
- Paper-I (Computer-Based Examination): will consist of Objective Type Multiple choice questions only,
Total 200 Questions/ 200 Marks/ 2 Hours
General Hindi, General English
- Paper-II (Descriptive Examination): 200 Marks/ 2 Hours
Translation and Essay writing in Hindi and English.
- Document Verification: Verification of original documents.
- Medical Examination: To ensure candidates meet the physical standards required for the posts.
Note: There will be negative marking in Paper-I, 0.25 marks will be deducted each incorrect answer.

- If you have not done OTR, then first do OTR and then login and apply
- Complete the application form with accurate personal, academic, and contact details.
- Upload scanned copies of the required documents.
- Pay the application fee: For General, OBC, and EWS categories = ₹100, No Fee for Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen
- Females, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM = 0 (No fee)
